What Decibic provides

Decibic provides browser-based tools that may inspect displays, audio devices, cameras, input devices, controllers, storage interfaces, sensors, and browser or system capabilities. Published tools, limits, and availability may change over time.

Permission and responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether to grant a browser permission and for having authority to test a connected device or system. Review the browser prompt and the tool's own notice before proceeding.

You must not:

• use the service to break the law, invade privacy, or harm another person or system;
• attempt to bypass access restrictions, rate limits, or security controls;
• interfere with the service or place an unreasonable load on Decibic or its providers;
• submit information or access a device you are not authorized to use; or
• misrepresent a test result as proof of safety, compliance, ownership, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Test results

Results are point-in-time observations from the browser, operating system, connected device, and any provider identified by the tool. Browser support, device drivers, permissions, hardware state, and later changes can affect them.

Verify important findings independently before relying on a result for production, security, legal, financial, medical, or safety-critical decisions.

Third-party services and links

A future tool may use a third-party service when the tool identifies that dependency. Third-party terms, policies, limits, and availability may apply. Decibic is not responsible for external services or websites.

Intellectual property

Decibic's branding, site design, and original software and content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. You retain any rights you have in information you submit.

Availability and warranties

The service may be maintained, changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Decibic is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Decibic and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost data, revenue, profits, business, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
